According to the data minimization principle, personal data may only be processed insofar as this is necessary to achieve a specific purpose (Art. 5 para. 1 lit. c) GDPR). Insofar as this purpose and the benefit derived from the data can also be achieved with more aggregated data, the data processing violates the data minimization principle.
